Dear friends,

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Janice Thompson. I'm a freelance author residing in the Houston area. I'm currently working on a novel set in 1875. The story takes place in two towns - Memphis, Tennessee and Nachodoches, Texas. I need to know about train travel between those two places in 1875. Did it exist? If so, what lines? Also, what stops would there have been along the way if a person left Memphis traveling to Nachodoches?

I would appreciate any help you're willing to give. I hope this isn't too far out of your area of expertise. If so, might you know someone else who could help me?

Yours most sincerely, Janice Thompson
