I am trying to find out what RR went through Osage Co., MO in 1870. I think it was the MO. Pacific which was completed from St. Louis to Jefferson City in the summer of 1855, but I would like to be sure. Is there any site that would have information on the RR in that area?
Thanks, Susan

Check out this website. http://mopac.org/

I would imagine you are correct though about Osage County. I doubt that it would be the Rock Island but the MoPac runs right thru the area you speak although it's now the Union Pacific. That MoPac Website will give you all kinds of info if you email them with questions. They will probably bust their butts to help out.
