A Amtrak special train derailed today 60 miles east of Syracuse, N.Y. No one hurt.

This was a test train for testing one of amtrak's express cars. The train derailed and a speed restriction was placed on that type of car delaying many of amtraks trains severly. Later it was discovered that the cause of the derailment was because of a separated rail. I do not know if the speed restriction has been removed yet.
