I spotted a beautifully restored Norfolk and Southern passenger car at the Santa
Fe Depot in San Diego over the SuperBowl weekend. I think it may have been a sleeper car...but I'm not sure. The livery was a wine color with a black roof.
It was coupled up with a Burlington Northern Santa Fe passenger train used for corporate use. Several Bulington and Northern Santa Fe car were converted into open ended observation club cars. All cars with the exception of the Norfold Southern car were I believe what is called
California Cars. They were stainless steel with fluted sides. The train pulled out the following day.
